Handcrafted SOAP is one of my favorite GIFTS to give.  

I have always LOVED making homemade gifts.  Growing up I would make my mom Valentine’s cards by cutting out colored construction paper and embellishing it. I would embroider around the edges of paper hearts and fold them so the hearts opened up or popped out. It was a labor of LOVE.  Back then I had more TIME than money. That has now CHANGED....

BUT my LOVE of making and giving homemade gifts has NOT!

I still feel like they are the BEST gifts I can give.

My handcrafted soap has become one of my FAVORITE gifts to give. I love to experiment and play around with soap, so I ALWAYS have a bar of soap on hand for a quick gift,
BUT this year I am trying to think ahead (at least 4-6 weeks ahead) and get CREATIVE.

I’d like to SHARE what I have made with you!

In JANUARY I had a lot of FUN thinking up VALENTINE’S DAY soaps. My daughter and I made soap CHOCOLATES and created a box of chocolate treats soap.  I also experimented with piping  and MINI heart cakes. (Pictured up top)

He likes a thick bar of unscented soap. I added Ground walnut shells for some surprise exfoliation.

While these soaps were originally thought up and created for Valentine’s Day they are PERFECT for many occasions: Weddings, birthdays, Mother’s Day, I love you, thinking of you.  

One of the GREAT things about soap is that if you make it for one occasion, and it's leftover, the soap just has more cure time AND it’s READY for the next occasion.

It’s MARCH now and EASTER is the 3rd Sunday in April.  My mind has been thinking EASTER BASKET SOAPS.
