Recycled Denim Circle Quilt

Repurposed DENIM CIRCLE QUILTS are what caught my eye and got me started on my path creating with denim.

How can you look at this quilt and not feel HAPPY!?! Well, I CAN'T and that's one of the reasons I ENJOY them so much.

A small quilt is a perfect baby gift!

I gave one to a friend of mine.  She not only loved how BEAUTIFUL it was, she also LOVED that she always had a clean place to lay her baby down, no matter where she was.

A small quilt is surprisingly compact when folded...it isn't much bigger than a couple of diapers.

A DENIM CIRCLE QUILT is the perfect "take everywhere blanket" because it is rugged and durable  and
does not easily collect debris and will dust off just like a pair of jeans.

This QUILT can easily become of FAMILY HEIRLOOM.

You have so many possibilities when you create a DENIM CIRCLE QUILT.  Choosing fabrics that have meaning or are associated with a person make it very personal. For example use Grandpa's work pants and Grandma's aprons.

You can PERSONALIZE your quilt in other ways too.

The insert fabric your choose and it's placement has a huge effect on your quilt's final look.  Do you want your quilt face to POP or do you want it to have a RESTFUL feel?  You get to decide by the colors you choose and their placement.  When you start laying it out and playing around with different looks, you just  may find it difficult to make a final decision on placement...AND you may just have to make another

 CIRCLE QUILT!

I hope this post has inspired you to create one of these denim quilts. I would suggest starting small with something like a baby quilt and then you can always go bigger.   Start collecting and if you need a little help getting started or with the whole process, I have a RECYCLED DENIM CIRCLE QUILT TUTORIAL  detailing how to make them with some tips I've discovered .
